Once upon a time Maria, someone who was very fond of singing and doing songs all the time.
When her daughters, Mathilde and Manon, entered school, Maria began to write and compose songs about the school subjects so they could play at the same time, learn faster and more easily.
“As Canções da Maria” (Maria’s Songs) were born and then followed by “As Canções da Maria II”, about many subjects of Mathematics, Portuguese Language and Geography, huge successes that have done since then the delights of boys and girls, mothers and fathers, grandparents and grandfathers, educators and teachers.
Xavier, Maria’s husband and father of “M sisters”, inspired Mathias, a fussy, amused and full of ideas friend of the girls.
Everyone is very fond of stories. Thus, and continuing the adventure, they created “As Canções da Maria – Especial História de Portugal” (Portugal History Special), so that boys and girls, mothers and fathers, grandparents and grandfathers, educators and teachers, and all others who wish, discover our History, with songs and spiels.
In a beautiful book with graphics by Patrícia Furtado, on CD and DVD, 17 songs, 1 poem, 4 spiels, and many curiosities, with fantastic arrangements and production by João Só, genius drawings by Nuno Markl brilliantly animated by João Alves and with animation and video production of Bruno Caetano, Maria, Mathilde, Manon and Mathias promise, once again, to facilitate learning, and sing and enchant kids and adults.
